ABOUT THE MRExcellence Cookbook

The original MRExellence Cookbook was written prior to Y2K as a simple guide to
making Rotation of our stored MRE's easier. We firmly believe that it is better to be
familiar with long term storage foods (emergency foods) so there is no "shock" to the
system during times of duress, such as an emergency may present.

MRE's are just about as perfect a food as you can get for emergencies. They are
waterproof, require no additional water to eat, and are easy to store.
Every household in the USA should have at least one case on hand.
However, the menu selection is not the greatest and our appetites tire easily. So we
sat down to remedy that situation by writing the original MRExcellence Cookbook.

We interviewed many people that went through disasters such as Hurricane Andrew.
We also talked to people that went through other weather related disasters that
resulted in extended power outages, as well as going through Tornado like winds that
resulted in a week without electrical power ourselves that happened here in the Great
Lakes area in 1993.

Much was learned!

The highpoints of our interviews and personal experience were both unanimous and
predictable:

Store lots of Water -- Water was selling for over $10.00 a gallon even back in '92!
Store lots of Food -- Stores closed or gone - you had to eat what you had on hand
Have a practiced emergency plan in place -- Panic set in immediately

So the MRExcellence Cookbook was written to address the above situations.

The new interactive CD edition promises to be even more relevent with the problems
that we face today.
