The expression on
the little girls' face tells it all -- business is very slow.
Most Vietnamese
street vendors in larger cities pandered to the needs of the American personnel
stationed in complexes nearby. This little girl was about Ten years
old, and sported a hairdo that most Americans would find attractive.
It was a bit unusual for a child of that age to be "dressed up", but that's
what brought in the business. Her bored disposition quickly changed
when a customer would stop by and look, maybe taste, and perhaps, even
buy one, Please?
